About Regina
Regina Donnelly is a Children’s Occupational Therapist with over 27 years of clinical experience supporting children and their families. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1999 from the University of Ulster and spent more than 18 years working within Meath HSE Children’s Occupational Therapy Services. For the past 9 years, Regina has worked independently in private practice.
Regina is deeply passionate about providing the highest quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy. Her work is grounded in a strengths-based, child-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with families to support each child’s individual needs and development.
She has completed extensive postgraduate training across Ireland, the UK, Europe, Canada, and the USA. Regina is an Advanced Mentored Clinician in Sensory Integration, having completed a clinical mentorship with Dr Lucy Miller at the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder in Colorado, USA. She also has advanced training in Trauma- Informed Therapy, Sensory Attachment Intervention, and is Polyvagal Theory Certified through the Polyvagal Institute (USA).
In addition to her clinical work, Regina regularly presents at conferences and delivers training for Occupational Therapists, multidisciplinary teams, schools, parents, and organisations. She also provides clinical supervision to occupational therapists working in both public and private practice.
Regina’s practice is informed by compassion, neuroscience, and a strong belief in the importance of safety, regulation, and connection as the foundation for children’s wellbeing and development.
